Measurement of tensile forces during bone lengthening

Understanding how much tensile forces occur during bone lengthening may help us learn how to grow taller by telling us what tensile force we need to induce.

Notes:

-bone lengthening may cause an increase in intra-articular pressure.
-femoral lengthening caused hip space joint narrowing.
-The force during near continuous lengthening was around 330N.
-During step-wise lengthening the force was higher around 550N.
-The force may originate during soft tissues during tension.
