No Height Gain this week with LSJL

Here are last weeks photos:  Bone Length Increase | One Month and Two Weeks In.  I'm going to start taking pictures of my full body height as well.  Here are this weeks pictures.  Tibial measurement is now 14" and 15 3/4".  Both up 1/4" from last week but no height increase.  Theories as to why after the pictures.
I am now using a 70lbs dumbell.  This dumbell at the gym is pointed at the end so more focused pressure.  I am no longer doing both bones of the knee/elbow at the same time.  I do the ulna and humerus separately plus the tibia and femur separately.  Still doing 30 taps with a 10lbs dumbell in addition.

So why the increase in bone length without the increase in height?  Possibly the connective tissues have not yet adapted to the new bone length.   Will have to wait and see next week.

  1. Please be consistent with where on your knee you measure. Comparing your pictures seems to indicate that the gain you see comes, at least mostly, from moving the measuring higher up on the knee.

  2. Is the height gain you saw earlier at least preserved?

  3. Wouldn't it be more effective if you loaded both sides of the ankles simultaneously.

The force on both sides would then be close to equal.

Kind of like getting punched on both sides of the face with equal forces at the same time, or getting punched on one side of the face with the other side resting on the floor.

  4. The ankles on each side are part of two separate bones the tibia and fibula so I don't think that would work. And the height gain was preserved. Still 5'9" up from 5'8 1/2" since starting the program.

My measurement technique is improving. Again, any sort of measurement error will eventually be sorted out if my bone keeps increasing in length.

  5. Yes let's really hope that it continues to increase in length. The question is if you height reading may have been wrong. How often do you measure your height? When I have been doing height exercises I've been measuring almost every day. That's really good because, even if your measurements vary. they will still be distributed around some value which you will notice if it raises.

  6. My height reading was not wrong. I've never had large shifts in my height between days. Usually, it varied between 5'7 3/4" and 5'8 1/2" but never ever 5'9".

  7. If you are not currently doing anything like posture improvement I must say that that sounds very promising.
